The Income you received is tax free and index linked with the retail price.

Renewable Heat Incentive

Renewable Heat Incentives sets out details of a new scheme, to provide financial help in renewable heating installations. This new scheme is designed to get people to take up renewable technologies such as Solar Thermal. This is a world first.

Other benefits

Only 1% of the heat generated in the UK comes from renewable sources. The rest is generated from conventional fossil fuels such as gas, oil, coal, as well as electricity. The Government has been set the target of generating 15% of the UK's heat from renewable sources by 2020 in order to reduce our dependence on fossil fuels.
